Rachelle Ann Go returns as Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’ on West End

Rachelle Ann Go has taken on once again the role of Fantine in the West End run of the popular musical “Les Miserables.”

“I’m back @lesmizofficial [French flag emoji],” the musical theater actress said on her Instagram page yesterday, March 3. She accompanied her post with photos of her still in character, complete with blonde hair.

Go said her first show since returning was “fun but [nerve-wracking].” She will play Fantine until April 18 and again from July 27, the production said. English actress Carrie Hope Fletcher will portray Fantine during Go’s time away from the stage.

Go joined the musical as Fantine in 2015 for the production’s 30th anniversary in London. Prior to first taking on the iconic role, she performed as Gigi Van Tranh in the West End run of “Miss Saigon.”

Before returning to “Les Miserables,” she last starred in the West End production of “Hamilton,” in which she portrayed the title character, Alexander Hamilton’s wife, Eliza Schuyler.  /ra
