Sarah-Matteo wedding: Even Viva execs kept in the dark

/ 12:15 AM March 02, 2020

Viva Entertainment executive Vincent del Rosario said he and his family were just as surprised as the fans, when they discovered that two of their biggest contract stars, Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli, had already gotten married. “None of us were there at the wedding. We had no idea,” he recently told reporters at the Viva offices. “We thought it was going to be in March.”

Even his father, Viva’s top executive, Vic del Rosario, didn’t know about the couple’s marriage plans, he said, until Matteo called him up to pacify Sarah’s mother, Divine, who made a scene at the wedding reception. “I believe he was in a meeting at The Podium when he was asked to come over,” Vincent related.

While he has yet to talk to Sarah after “Unified,” her recent concert with Regine Velasquez earlier this month, Vincent said he’s set to meet with the pop star soon to discuss her future projects.

“We’re still in talks and fixing some things. She told us that she wanted to rest a little first. But after that we’re going to sit down and talk about potential projects,” he said. “So far, she has been honoring her commitments. It goes on.”

Is the eagerly awaited collaboration between the newlyweds in the offing? “We have been thinking about it. It would be nice if the right time comes or if there’s a suitable material for them,” he said.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
