Lovi Poe, Tony Labrusca and Marco Gumabao set the new standard for sexy in Viva Films’ “Hindi Tayo Pwede,” which opens on March 4. It was written by Ricky Lee with Joel Lamangan at the helm.

The film’s trailer shows that the lead stars didn’t hold back in doing steamy scenes. Their love triangle is getting the attention it deserves. In less than 24 hours of its release, the trailer already garnered 1.6 million views across all social media platforms.

What makes their love triangle unusual is that one of them (the character played by Tony) happens to be a ghost. Shades of Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze’s hit 1990 movie, “Ghost.”

FEATURED STORIES

“Hindi Tayo Pwede” shows that even when two people don’t have a happy ending, it doesn’t mean that what they had wasn’t a love story.

Here’s my chat with Lovi (L), Marco (M), Tony (T) and Direk Joel (J):

What’s your unsolicited advice to those who are in a “’di tayo pwede” kind of relationship?

L: If you don’t see any future with that person right from the beginning, there’s no point entering it. There’s no use getting in too deep.

What’s your fave scene and line in your movie?

L: Hard to say because I have a lot in mind. I guess it would be, “Ituloy n’yo na ‘yung pelikulang dapat sa ating dalawa.” That’s the part where we finally admit that it’s time to move on. It’s not an easy thing to do, especially when no one’s at fault. Some things are just out of our control.

If your dad FPJ were still around, what’s one question you want to ask him?

L: Knowing what he knows now, I want to know if he would have made the same choices.

Do you and your boyfriend have marriage plans already?

L: No plans yet. We’re just doing our best to make each other feel special, despite the distance.

What was the hardest scene to shoot?

J: The love scenes. Even if you have the most cooperative actors, the problem of choosing the angles, lighting, movement, the expressions needed to make it sexier from the last sex scenes that I have done.

What makes the Marco-Lovi-Tony love triangle worth watching?

J: Because the three of them are drop-dead gorgeous and sexy. The camera loves them from every angle. Eye candy to the max. It’s exciting because one member of the triangle is a ghost.

How would you handle it if you fall for someone na “’di kayo pwede”?

M: I would actually be thrilled if ever I fall in love with someone, because I don’t fall in love fast. But if I find out na hindi kami pwede, I would be really devastated.

What do you think of girls who make the first move?

M: They are very brave … and I respect that. Do what you think is best for you.

What do you find hard to understand about women?

T: Their being too emotional.
