Arci Muñoz meets ‘Parasite’ director Bong Joon-ho, actor Song Kang-ho

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Arci Muñoz had a fangirling moment at The Academy Awards when she met the director of critically acclaimed South Korean film “Parasite,” Bong Joon-ho and one of the movie’s cast, Song Kang-ho.

Muñoz on Monday shared her encounter with the two over her Instagram account.

“I greeted Mr. Kang ho Song! Had a convo with him in Korean!! Oh was soo glad I took my Korean class!! Told him how much I love their movie!!” Muñoz wrote.

“He quickly grabbed me by the hand and introduced me to ze man!! #bongjoonho And so the next photo happened!” she recalled.

Parasite” made history after becoming the first foreign-language film to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

The film also won Best Screenplay, Best International Feature, with Bong winning the Best Director award.

“Parasite” is a black comedy thriller about members of a poor family who schemed to become employed by a wealthy family.

Apart from Song, the film also stars Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Ye-jeong, Choi Woo-sik and Park So-dam.
