When actress Kris Bernal organized a surprise birthday party for her non-showbiz boyfriend, Perry Choi, the actress got a surprise of her own when he asked her to marry him. Bernal answered yes.
Choi got down on one knee in front of family and friends, as seen in Nice Print Photography’s Instagram post yesterday, Jan. 6. Bernal looked shocked while holding a bundle of sunflowers in front of the party guests. Her boyfriend’s accomplices held inflated golden letters that seemed to spell Choi’s question.
In the other photos on the set, Bernal flashed a beaming smile while she displayed her engagement ring.
“So this just happened (ring emoji),” the photo studio said.
Bernal was wiping away tears of joy during the proposal. Another photographer, Pepe Fernandez, showed more photos of the event.
“A surprise birthday party organized by Kris for Perry turned to a surprise proposal of Perry to Kris,” the photographer’s page stated on its official Instagram account today, Feb. 7.
Bernal appeared in the horror TV series “Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko” with Rayver Cruz, Kim Domingo and Megan Young last year. /ra
