“They were done tastefully.”

This was actress Ina Raymundo’s reaction to her teenage daughter Erika Rae Poturnak’s photos and videos of her swimsuit pictorial, taken for her debut celebration in October 2019, for which the latter was bashed after they were uploaded on social media.

“For me, it’s OK to show what she’s got, “ Ina stressed. “She was well taken care of. I was there, too. I told her to expose herself more on social media so people would know her more.” After creating quite a stir online, Erika is “now at a crossroads in her life,” Ina told Inquirer Entertainment.

“She likes to sing, but she is not sure if she’d continue studying in college or pursue a show biz career,” said Ina. “I feel that she’d end up taking a gap year, so she could discover for herself what she wants to do with her life. It’s better that way than to pick a college course, then eventually give that up, anyway.”

Ina said she would support Erika Rae no matter what happens. “Of course, if I’d have my way, I want her to take up a college course right after she graduates from high school, but if she doesn’t feel like it yet, I will not bug her about it,” said the mom of four. Ina also has two daughters (Anika and Mikaela) and a son (Jacob).“We can’t decide for Erika. I will just pray for her discernment. It’s better to not insist on her to do something. She wants to be the one to figure it out on her own,” the 44-year-old actress said. —MARINEL CRUZ INQ
