Why Angel refuses to work with fiancé

Angel Locsin swore she would never work on a movie project with her fiancé, businessman and film producer Neil Arce.

“We just might end up fighting,” she explained. “He used to do that for the women he cared about. I guess it’s also because I want to be different from them.”

Neil had dated two other actresses, Maxene Magalona and Bela Padilla, prior to getting engaged to Angel. He collaborated on two films with Bela—“Luck at First Sight” and “Last Night.”

“I’ve always been supportive of his endeavors, not just because we were friends then, and later, because we were dating. This was because I believe in his talent. Iba ang mata niya,” Angel declared. In fact, Angel said she had read the script of “Last Night,” which Bela and Neil cowrote, then presented it to Star Cinema. “I recommended them. We have no issue at all,” she declared.—MARINEL CRUZ
