Catriona Gray, Julie Ann San Jose, KZ Tandingan named NCCA ambassadors for nat’l arts month

MANILA, Philippines — Catriona Gray, Julie Anne San Jose and KZ Tandingan are the big names that were chosen as ambassadors by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in celebration of National Arts Month.

In an event held at the NCCA office in Intramuros on Tuesday, the Miss Universe 2018 was selected as the new ambassador for arts.


San Jose was designated as the new music ambassador. Tandingan, meanwhile, was also anointed as the music ambassador, as she holds the title for the second year in a row.

This year’s National Arts Month carries the theme “Ani ng Sining” (Harvest of the Fest) which “emphasizes the ample artistic activities in the country with Filipino artists and cultural workers’ passion.


National Arts Month is held every February, by virtue of Proclamation No. 683 signed on Jan. 28, 1991 by former President Corazon Aquino.
