Action star Coco Martin dressed up as his character “Paloma” during the Metro Manila Film Festival’s Parade of Stars yesterday, Dec. 22. Martin’s famous alter ego originated from his action TV series “Ang Probinsyano”, where his character Cardo posed as a woman named “Paloma” for an undercover mission.

Paloma is back for Martin’s new movie, “3pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon”. During the parade, the actor wore pink metallic knee-high boots and donned an orange dress with a pink cape. The actor completed the look with a long blond wig and a winged headdress.

Martin never broke character while waving at fans in the parade. The crowd even chanted “Paloma,” as the movie’s parade float passed by their way.

The actor stated that this will be the last time he will be using his alter ego. Martin thanked Paloma for allowing him to channel her personality from his TV show to the big screen. He even jested that he will miss the character’s flirty antics, on a separate post yesterday.

The action-comedy movie also stars Ai-Ai delas Alas and Jennylyn Mercado. Ai-Ai also posed with Paloma and Mercado during the parade, as seen on her reposted photo from Martin’s fan account, yesterday.

“Ang gaganda naman nitong mga ito (Look how beautiful these people are)!” delas Alas said. She also thanked fans for seeing them in the parade.

“3pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon” is one of the eight entries for the MMFF this year.

Among the movies selected are: “Mindanao” starring Judy Ann Santos and directed by Brillante Mendoza; the Filipino adaptation of the Korean movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7” starring Aga Muhlac; “Culion” starring Iza Calzado and Meryll Soriano, written by Ricky Lee; “Mission Unstoppable: The Don Identity” featuring Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza; “The Mall, The Merrier” starring Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis; “Write About Love” with Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino; and the horror movie “Sunod” starring Carmina Villarroel.

The movies are set to show on theaters starting Wednesday, Dec. 25. JB
