Swept under the rug
Everybody had high hopes for Young Celeb (YC) when he began to draw attention for his latest endeavor. But YC’s rousing start soon turned into a “pedestrian” effort, especially after past indiscretions began to haunt him back. YC worked hard but was obviously distracted.
It’s a cautionary misstep that could have gotten worse if the people around him didn’t cooperate. They chose to accentuate the positive and “shake off” (pun very much intended) the negative. Even the talks linking YC to Bold Musician (BM) quickly went pfft.
For a change, YC’s salacious past was quickly swept under the rug to help him “refocus.” It takes a village, indeed.
