WATCH: Lalaine looks back on ‘Lizzie McGuire’ days in vlog
Actress Lalaine, best known for her role as the best friend of the titular character in “Lizzie McGuire,” reunited with fellow Disney Channel star Christy Carlson Romano for a vlog.
Romano regularly brings in actors from 2000s child-oriented shows and cooks meals with them. Lalaine, whose parents are both Filipino, made a spaghetti with meat sauce recipe with the “Kim Possible” actress in her vlog released today, Dec. 6.
Lalaine paid tribute to her no-nonsense and fashionable character Miranda by wearing a plaid hat from the show itself. Calling it a “standard Miranda staple,” she said, “This was probably like number 1 or number 2 on heavy rotation” for the show’s wardrobe.
The spaghetti and meatballs recipe was also a tribute to the show, in particular one episode called “Gordo and the Girl,” where Lizzie (Hilary Duff) and Miranda are covered head to toe in pasta. Lalaine also recalled Duff getting “traumatized” from holding a real octopus head on the show.

Production of the “Lizzie McGuire” revival began in October. The story is set when she is 30 years old and seems to have everything she wants in life, but needs her friends and family to navigate adulthood. /ra
