Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo are set to perform alongside each other in a concert next year.
Viva Artists Agency revealed that the two have begun preparing for their collaboration yesterday, Nov. 30, via a Facebook post.
The agency posted a clip of a behind-the-scenes moment from the duo’s pictorial for their upcoming concert. The two well-renowned performers donned bright red full-length dresses while they were being directed by celebrity photographer Mark Nicdao. The post also featured a hashtag with the word “unify” which may be a nod to the production’s title.
Velasquez could not help but gush over the project, as she also shared moments from the photoshoot on her Instagram page on the same day. The duo was clad in matching black sweaters in one photo, while another featured them in their red dresses.
Nicdao also shared some quirky moments from the pictorial with the two artists, on his own Instagram page.
“Had a fun shoot today with Regine and Sarah,” he said. “[S]omething great is coming up!!”
Despite performing numerous times alongside each other on the noontime variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To”, the upcoming project is the first time that Velasquez and Geronimo will be headlining a concert together.
Aside from the newly-revealed project with Geronimo, Velasquez is also set to hold a performance with Megastar Sharon Cuneta next year in North America, for their “ICONIC” concert. JB
