Alex Gonzaga teamed up with food and travel vlogger Erwan Heussaff to cook a sumptuous tempura dish for her latest vlog last Thursday, Nov. 14.
While preparing the dish, Gonzaga could not help but ask Heussaff about his wife Anne Curtis’ singing skills, as seen on the comedienne’s YouTube channel.
“Nagagandahan ka sa boses ng asawa mo?” Gonzaga asked.
(Do you like your wife’s [singing] voice?)
Gonzaga even plugged in a snippet of Curtis’ old performance in her noontime show “It’s Showtime”, where the actress sang “Chandelier”. The snippet was accompanied with a caption that goes, “Sorry Anne sa facts lang tayo (Sorry Anne but let’s just stick to facts).”
“She’s improved a lot,” Heussaff replied.
The vlog’s host was talking about ginger’s medicinal benefits, like improving one’s voice, when she mentioned Curtis. The two agreed that Curtis’ singing has improved through the years. Gonzaga even joked to Heussaff that maybe he should feed his wife ginger more often.
The hilarious video also revealed other facts about Heussaff. Gonzaga asked him about his favorite cuisine (which he revealed is still Filipino food) and the etymology of his name (it is in French, which roughly translates to “Ewan” in Filipino). Heussaff also revealed that he learned how to cook a proper kare-kare from celebrity chef Claude Tayag.
Heussaff and Curtis announced that they were expecting their first child last week, Nov. 1o. During their wedding anniversary a few days later, Heussaff jokingly wished for their child to get Curtis’ looks and his voice. JB
