Leah Navarro slammed Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddy Boy” Locsin Jr. and Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo for pushing to bar human rights advocate Phelim Kine’s entry to the country.

Navarro called the two officials “terrified old men” for trying to block the entry of Kine if he tries to “advise” Vice President Leni Robredo on how to end President Rodrigo Duterte’s “murderous” war on drugs. The singer said this through Twitter yesterday, Nov. 12.

“Locsin, Panelo. Two terrified old men. Terrified for their patron. Terrified that human rights advocates will uncover more truths about their bloody drug war,” she declared. “They won’t keep them out forever.”

Kine, former deputy director for Asia of the New York-based Human Rights Watch, took to Twitter on Monday, Nov. 11, to offer Robredo advice on the drug war, as well as suggest the arrest of “Duterte and his henchmen.”

“Dear VP @lenirobredo – my bags are packed and I’m ready to come to the #Philippines to help advise how to end this murderous ‘drug war,'” he said. “Meanwhile here is my Recommendation No. 1: Arrest #Duterte and his henchmen for inciting & instigating mass murder.”

Navarro, one of the most vocal critics of the Duterte administration, previously landed in hot water for her “retribution” remark about the recent Mindanao earthquakes. The singer was declared “persona non grata” by the General Santos City council for her remark. JB
