While some of the girls of “Bubble Gang” are occasionally made to wear sexy outfits or deliver green jokes for gags and skits, never once did they feel awkward or uncomfortable on the set.

“I have never felt that way… If there’s something off with the script or jokes, we fix it,” Lovely Abella told reporters at a recent press conference for the coming 24th anniversary special of GMA 7’s long-running gag show, “Bubble Gang,” which will air on Nov. 15 and 22.

Paolo Contis stressed that the program’s main goal is to make people laugh—not to disrespect others or be vulgar—but, “it can be naughty at times.”

The two-part special, “The ScAvengers”—a word play on Marvel Comics’ “The Avengers”—is about homeless outcasts who make a living by scavenging around garbage dumps. One day, they chance upon scraps from outer space with the power to transform them into superheroes.
