The YouTube community bid farewell to one of its beloved figures, Narayana Reddy or Grandpa to his viewers, who passed away at the age of 73 last Sunday, Oct. 27.
The Indian YouTube chef is popular for cooking food in large quantities to feed the less fortunate. The platform’s cooking channel “Grandpa Kitchen” paid homage to Reddy yesterday, Oct. 30, when it posted a video montage highlighting its star’s best moments.
The channel also posted his burial ceremony and cremation. It was attended by Grandpa’s family and community in India.
“Grandpa Kitchen” also gained popularity for cooking from various cuisines. French fries to shrimp tempura, samosas and noodle soup cooked in the show were fed to children in Indian communities. The channel also supports charities, according to its website.
The cause of Grandpa’s death is yet to be announced, as of writing. JB
