Atong Ang neither confirms nor denies rumored romance with Barretto niece
MANILA, Philippines — Charlie “Atong” Ang neither confirmed nor denied the real score between him and Nicole Barretto, the niece of Gretchen with whom she reportedly had an altercation with during the wake of their family patriarch.
“Basta sinasabi niyang naging boyfriend niya ako, eh sinasabi ko ngang hindi ako magsalita ng oo tsaka hindi. As is na lang siya kasi hindi maganda sa side ko na ako magsasalita,” Ang said in an interview over ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol” aired Thursday.
(If she says I’m her boyfriend, then I will not confirm if it is true or not. I’ll leave it as is because it would not do good to me.)
After a scuffle ensued between Gretchen and Nicole during the wake, former actress Marjorie Barretto claimed that Gretchen stole Ang from Nicole.
Gretchen retaliated, saying that it was Nicole who “stole” Ang from another Barretto sister, Claudine.

Asked if he had a relationship with either Gretchen or Claudine, the gaming businessman said no.
Ang also shared how he met Nicole, saying that it was through her mother Marichi. He added that Nicole is close to his children and that both their families travel together.
Meanwhile, Ang said that it was through Marichi and Nicole that he met Claudine. He added that he helped Claudine get through a personal problem.
Ang said he met Gretchen because of Nicole.
Ang added that it is just Marjorie and Nicole’s “conclusion” if they think he is Gretchen’s boyfriend.
He later said in the interview: “Mahal ko ang pamilya ko. Tandaan niyo ‘to. Family man ako. Wala akong bisyo.”
(I love my family, remember that. I am a family man, I don’t have any vices.)
“Hindi ko ipagpapalit kahit maski kaninong babae ang pamilya ko (I wouldn’t trade my family for any other girl),” he added.
