LOOK: Maritoni Fernandez, daughter Lexi spot kangaroos and koalas in Australian road trip

Actress Maritoni Fernandez jetted off to Melbourne, Australia for quality time with some of her family members, including her daughter Lexi, mother Luth and sister Helen.

The mother-daughter duo arrived in the said city last Wednesday, Sept. 25, as per Fernandez’s Instagram post on the same day.

After spending time in the city with her mother and sister, Fernandez and Lexi set off on a road trip together.

Their first stop was Bells Beach along the famous Great Ocean Road, a 243-kilometer road along the south-eastern coast of the land down under. Fernandez shared a sweet moment of her and Lexi by the beach on Instagram last Sunday, Sept. 29.

Next on their list of places to visit was the Angelsea Golf Club, which houses a number of kangaroos, an animal native to Australia.

Fernandez did not miss the chance to pose for a photo with one of the animals, as seen in her Instagram post on Sunday.

“Second stop. Had to see these cutie pies! This was as close as I could get without scaring him/her off!” She said. “At the Roo Tour in Anglesea Golf Club. They are too cute.”

They then continued on their drive to visit Apollo Bay, a beach-side town along the coastal road. On their way there, Fernandez spotted other animals, including another Aussie native, a koala.

“Animal sightings on our road trip to Apollo Bay from Melbourne. Umbrella Cockatoos like our Tuki, wild Koala bears and lots of Roos!” she stated. “This is Aussie land. Amazing!”

As their road trip came to a close, the two visited The Twelve. Apostles, a popular landmark along the coastal road. It is a collection of limestone stacks that were formed by erosion.

Lexi shared a view of the rock formation on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 30.

“The 12 Apostles. Thank you mama. They are absolutely majestic,” she said.

Following their drive on the scenic road, they decided to unwind with some delicious food and drinks in the nearby town of Timboon. The two feasted on an assortment of cheeses to go with their wine, followed by sweet desserts such as ice cream and fudge from local establishments in the said town.

Fernandez’s latest showbiz endeavor was being part of the cast of the 2018 TV action-fantasy series “Victor Magtanggol”, which starred Alden Richards. JB
