LOOK: Maritoni Fernandez adopts stray cat found near her home

Actress Maritoni Fernandez recently opened her heart and home to a new member of their family—a stray cat she found outside her house.

“I came home the other night and heard non stop crying outside my gate only to find this little one hidden on top of the tire of one of the cars outside,” she said in her Instagram post yesterday, July 17.

Fernandez decided to take the animal in for the night since it was cold and wet from the rain. She revealed that she has already named the cat, and has chosen to adopt it. The cat has green eyes and has a predominantly black coat, mixed with white and tan fur.

“She has beautiful green eyes and doesn’t seem to have a mom anywhere around,” she said. “So, in a few days when she has acclimatized I will be taking her to the vet to get her cleaned up and have her shots.”

“Welcome the newest member of our family…. Bea. Our help named her and it’s a cute name, so let it be so. With lungs like hers, I would’ve named her Tiger!” Fernandez stated.

Aside from Fernandez, Heart Evangelista is also another celebrity who has a heart for furry friends. Evangelista shared earlier this June that she is setting up an animal shelter in Sorsogon.

Fernadez’s latest showbiz endeavor was being part of the cast of the 2018 action-fantasy series “Victor Magtanggol,” which starred Alden Richards.  /ra
