Singer Bullet Dumas commended a couple of bikers who paved a path for an ambulance through a Friday night traffic on EDSA.
Dumas tweeted last night a picture of an ambulance that was following two motorcycles through the snaking traffic. He said, “Those two motorcyclists in the center of the photo became temporary escorts for the ambulance honking everyone out of the way.”

It seems the ambulance had come a long way, as it bore signs indicating it belonged to the municipality of Baco in Oriental Mindoro. The vehicles were headed north and the picture was taken at EDSA Guadalupe.
The motorcycle riders’ act of kindness comes after a report by the Agence France-Presse that Manila traffic has led to patients in ambulances dying on the way to the hospital. While there are no statistics on the number of patients who have died on the road, ambulance drivers shared their frustration of how mere minutes can spell all the difference in the life of a patient. /ra
