Singer-actress Jessa Zaragoza has successfully underwent surgery to treat a medical condition called trigger thumb.
“And so i did it… Just got out from my trigger thumb surgery/Tenosynovectomy,” she said in her Instagram post yesterday, Sept. 24.
Trigger thumb is a condition that causes pain, stiffness and a feeling of locking or catching when one bends and straightens their finger, as per the American Academy of Orthapaedic Surgeons.
“Looking forward to a swift recovery,” she said. “So I can use my hand again, like I could before, normally, without pain.”
“Can’t wait also to get back to doing things I wanna do, to further better and improve myself,” Zaragoza added.
The singer-actress did not mention when and how she sustained the medical condition.
She also received well wishes from fellow celebrities such as Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio and Kyle Echarri.
One of her followers, @whitequeenaymi, who supposedly underwent the same procedure last month, shared her experience with Zaragoza.
“It was so hirap (hard) for the first week but after then, I went back to [the] office and did the same stuff like I usually [do] but with precautions since the sutures [were] not yet removed then,” the Instagram user said. “But everything [is] okay now. Feel better soon.”
Along with her singing career, Zaragoza currently stars in the GMA network sitcom “Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kwento”, alongside Michael V. and Marilyn Reyes. JB
