Nikki Gil has been back in the classroom, taking up an interior design course since 2016. Years of hard work have paid off as she featured an illustration she made for an interior design class on her Instagram.

The former VJ and singer posted on Instagram yesterday, Sept. 24, a picture of her illustration showcasing a modern tropical living space against the backdrop of sea and an island in the distance.

In the caption, she mused about how far she had come: “I came from stick people, guys. Stick. People. This is a big deal.”

“No criticism (constructive or otherwise) allowed, just praises,” she joked.

Gil has been studying at the Philippine School of Interior Design in Taguig City. She announced last July that she was on her last term in school. Her mother, Julie, graduated from the same school in 2015.

Over the years, Gil has shared snippets on Instagram of what her studies are like, such as her mom helping her with homework in 2017.
