Vice Ganda, Ion Perez shed tears as they say ‘I love you’
What started as a joke turned into an emotional moment on national television for Vice Ganda and Ion Perez on Friday, Sept. 20.
The two were on noontime show “It’s Showtime” along with co-hosts Anne Curtis and Vhong Navarro when the special moment came about. Perez appears on the show as “Kuya Escort.”
At first, the hosts were joking about Perez’s angry manner of speaking when Curtis asked if that was how they said “I love you.”
This led Navarro and Curtis to encourage both of them to say the three words to each other. As they hesitated, they were asked to say it as if they were just pretending.

Curtis and Navarro asked the two repeatedly why they were crying. Finally, Perez explained, “Ang saya ‘pag nakikita siyang masaya. Ang sarap makita na masaya ‘yung taong mahal mo.”
(It brings happiness to see him happy. It feels good to see the person you love happy.)
Vice and Perez have been rumored to be a couple, but have yet to officially confirm it. However, the “Fantastica” star’s tweet yesterday seems to add meaning to the touching segment on “It’s Showtime.” “Andami nyong nagmamahal sa akin at masaya para sa kasiyahan ko. Maraming salamat!!! Mapalad ako.”
(So many of you love me and are happy to see me happy. Thank you!!! I am fortunate.) Niña V. Guno /ra
