Lea Salonga admits she’s ‘not always the nicest person’
MANILA, Philippines – While she is “outgoing and social,” Tony-award winning actress Lea Salonga admitted she is “not always the nicest person.”
Lea got candid about herself and shared a glimpse of what she is like by sharing a quote about how her personality confuses people.
“I enjoy being alone, a lot, but I am very outgoing and social. My environment dictates how I behave. Sometimes I’m loud, sometimes I’m quiet,” a quote which she posted Wednesday via Instagram read.
“I read the energy and adjust. There are times when I want to turn up and then there are moments where I want to read a good book or process thoughts, alone.”
Although she is a public figure, Lea bared how she enjoys her alone time and how important her personal space is.
“This is me. I don’t always make eye contact. I am not always the nicest person. I am overwhelmed in crowded spaces. I’m leery of strangers. I need personal space or else I can’t breathe. I have my limits. And I’m sure you have yours too,” Salonga wrote.
Actress and television host Rica Peralejo chimed in and commented how similar she is to Lea, saying “Love this, ate. I am an introvert and I surely suffer in the kind of industry I am in hahahaha.” /gsg
