The voice actress behind popular anime character Shin Chan from the Mandarin-dubbed version of the Japanese animated show “Crayon Shin-chan” passed away yesterday, Sept. 16 at the age of 49.
Chiang Tu-hui died around 7:00 a.m. due to multiple organ failure, as per Taiwan News on the same day. Prior to her death, she had been previously diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer.

Tu-hui was well-known for lending her voice to the anime character Shin Chan in the anime adaptation of the Japanese manga “Crayon Shin-chan”. The show centered on Shin Chan and his adventures, set in the Saitama Prefecture of Japan.
The TV series aired its first episode in 1992 and continues to produce new episodes.
Tu-hui also lent her voice to other animated characters in various shows such as “Naruto”, “Detective Conan” and “Attack on Titan”. Ryan Arcadio/JB
