Actress Mylene Dizon said she often created a “bond” with young actors who play her children either on TV or on the big screen.

These include controversial actors Julia Montes, whom she worked with in “Doble Kara,” and Joshua Garcia, who played one of her kids in “The Good Son.”

“Julia and I would still chat on Viber. There were times when she sought my advice, but only to ask about how to best cook her chicken,” Mylene quipped, “or which exercise she should do. We’re very good friends. Her last message to me [was sent] when she was vacationing in Germany. She said, ‘Malapit na, ’Nay. Uwi na ako.’”

Mylene said she had no idea about the rumor that Julia got pregnant and gave birth to a child fathered by Coco Martin. However, she said she would be glad for Julia if the news were true. “Pero kailangan ko munang malaman … sila ba?” she asked.

As for Joshua, who admitted to having broken up with girlfriend Julia Barretto only recently, Mylene gave this advice: “Trust yourself. Be true to what you feel. You’re still young, so be strong. Many things can still happen to you.” —MARINEL R. CRUZ
