Kool & The Gang show

American R&B band Kool & The Gang and pop singer Deniece Williams will take centerstage on Sept. 21 at Okada Manila. Guest performers are Filipino singer RJ Jacinto and his band.

Formed in the mid-‘60s, Kool & The Gang has been identified with music genres R&B, soul, funk, jazz and disco and has hits such as “Get Down On It,” “Cherish” and “Celebration.”

Deniece Williams started her career as a backup vocalist in the late ’70s. As a solo artist in 1984, she had a dance hit, “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” from the soundtrack of the movie, “Footloose.”
