Baron Geisler named peace and prosperity ambassador by Sulu royals

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Baron Geisler has been chosen as an ambassador of peace and prosperity by the sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo.

Baron announced the news and shared photos of the ceremony Wednesday over his Instagram account.

“I am honoured to be chosen as an Ambassador of Peace and Prosperity by Raja Mamay and Queen Hellen of Sulu and North Borneo,” Baron said.

Raja Mamay and Queen Hellen or King Raja Mohammadmamay Hasan Abdurajak and Queen Maria Makiling Helen Fatima Nasaria Panolino Abdurajak, respectively, are the heirs and successors to the throne of the sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo.

For the actor, his appointment is to inspire people through the change he underwent in the past.

“This appointment is not about religion but bridging gaps amongst the Filipino people and by inspiring change through my past. By God’s grace I was restored. This serves as a blessing of peace and friendship,” Baron wrote.

“My mission is to promote the beauty and culture of our great nation and to encourage the youth to take pride in our heritage. Let us one day, do away with all the hate and resentment, forgive and be united for peace and lasting progress, for our future and the hope of humanity. Padayon!” he added.

Baron had made headlines for a slew of controversies after he was charged with sexual harassment by several actresses, was involved in a brawl with fellow actors, among others.

After going back to rehabilitation, Baron continued his journey to recovery by speaking the gospel and spreading awareness on mental health and dangerous vices. /gsg
