Preshow backstage tour for U2 fans

For U2 fans interested in getting a shot at a preshow backstage tour of the band’s stop at the Philippine Arena on Dec. 11, they can buy tickets to an exclusive standing section called the (RED) Zone, which also provides various features and freebies.

Aside from the rare opportunity of being chosen for a backstage jaunt, a (RED) Zone ticket also entitles the holder entry to a VIP area—located directly adjacent to the stage—with special amenities and dedicated staff.

A VIP entrance to the venue, a souvenir collectors’ ticket and access to purchase preshow refreshments also come with the package.

More importantly, purchase of the said ticket will help raise money in support of Bono’s charity organization (RED) and the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.

Meanwhile, tickets to the VIP standing section—which starts at P5,250 and capped at two per person—went on sale a day earlier, Sept. 4, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The floor/standing area is the closest to the stage, and will give fans an opportunity to get close and appreciate the concert’s innovative staging, which features its very own Joshua tree and 200 x 45 ft cinematic video screen.

MMI Live—which is promoting the concert in association with Smart Music Live—said tickets to the standing area were capped “to ensure fans have the best chance at access” to the limited slots available. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
