LISTEN: Neil Young, Crazy Horse drop new song ‘Milky Way’
Neil Young and Crazy Horse recently put out “Milky Way”, the first single from Crazy Horse’s new album, “Colorado”, slated for release next October.
As noted by Stereogum, Young has played the ballad live in the past, both solo and with his regular backing band, Promise of the Real.

In an April post to the Neil Young Archives, the singer promised a “great Crazy Horse album” that will “stand alongside ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’, ‘Rust Never Sleeps’, ‘Sleeps With Angels’, ‘Psychedelic Pill’ and all the others.”
Young and Crazy Horse recorded the album in the eponymous state of the record’s title, at the Studio in the Clouds, just outside the ski resort of Telluride.
The follow-up to “Psychedelic Pill” marks the band’s first project since the departure of Frank “Poncho” Sampedro. The guitarist has since been replaced by E Street Band member and longtime Young collaborator Nils Lofgren.
