Dennis Padilla appeals to Gerald Anderson: ‘Sagutin mo naman ‘yung text ko’
Actor-comedian Dennis Padilla, father of Julia Barretto, revealed that Gerald Anderson has not been replying to his text messages recently.
Padilla opened up about reaching out to Anderson amid the controversy involving his daughter, in an episode of the talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” which aired yesterday, Aug. 28. Barretto has been linked to Anderson, which was widely rumored to be the cause of Anderson’s supposed breakup with actress Bea Alonzo.
In the interview, Padilla was asked to give a message to Anderson.
“Sagutin mo naman ‘yung text ko,” Padilla said.

He also stated that he had already sent Anderson four text messages but has never received a response.

“Actually ako ang nag-text. Sabi ko, ‘Puwede mo ba akong tawagan?'” he said. “Si Dennis Padilla ‘to.’ After mga 45 minutes, tumawag naman.”
(Actually I was the one who texted. I said ‘Can you call me?’ This is Dennis Padilla. After 45 minutes, he called.)
Padilla did not disclose what they talked about but said he just clarified something with the actor.
“Sabi ko lang, anak ko ‘yan e,” he stated. “’Yun lang, pinapaalala ko lang na anak ko si Julia Barretto.”
(I just said, “She is my daughter.” That was it, I just reminded him that Julia Barretto is my daughter.)
