KC Concepcion, Kiko Pangilinan wax sentimental as Frankie goes to college
Frankie Pangilinan’s entire family went to New York to send her off to college before her classes began on Monday, Aug. 26.
Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan dropped Frankie off on her first day at the university, marking the milestone moment in a tweet on Monday.
“Sending off @kakiep83 to her new school for her first day in College! Brought a bike with me,” he said, posting a selfie of him and his daughter. His caption seemed to reflect his mixed feelings of Frankie studying abroad as he used emoji of hearts and broken hearts.

Big sister KC Concepcion revealed that both she and Frankie were taking their studies in New York, with Concepcion taking up professional studies in gemology, as per her Instagram post today, Aug. 28. She also gave some advice based on her own experience studying in a Paris university.

“Thankful that we have opportunities to learn both in our home country and abroad—this is a new chapter for you Frankie and a fresh season for us as a fam,” she said.
“There will be ups, downs and figuring things out in between and that’s all perfectly fine plus I’m right here if and when you need me as ur big sis,” she assured the first-year student. “Let’s take on NEW YOOOORK!!! You can do it!!!”
Last Aug. 18, Cuneta shared on Instagram that she helped Frankie move into her dorm. The family, including the younger kids Miel and Miguel, have been bonding in New York for the past weeks. While separation anxiety seems to be almost inevitable, it is no doubt an exciting time for the family too as they see Frankie fulfill her dreams.
Frankie, a singer-songwriter and fiction writer, has yet to reveal where she is studying, though mom Sharon Cuneta described her choice of college as her “dream school” in a May Instagram post. /ra
