MANILA, Philippines — Gerald Anderson is now not only an actor but an Army reservist as well.
The Kapamilya actor completed a Soldiers Skills Orientation Training in Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan on Friday, which makes him part of the Philippine Army Reserve Force.
Anderson shared his experience on Instagram, saying that the three days of training was “the hardest” he has undergone.
“I have learned so much in just three days. Being the company commander taught me how to lead other people but most importantly how to lead myself and stay composed despite any situation,” Anderson wrote in his post.
“Being a Philippine Scout Ranger is being a real superhero. I appreciate your sacrifices men,” he added.
The other actors who trained with Anderson — as preparation for an upcoming TV series — were Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce and Nash Aguas. All actors were conferred the rank of private.
In June, Anderson’s fellow actor Matteo Guidicelli also became an Army reservist after completing his month-long Leadership Development and Scout Ranger Orientation Course, where he bagged special awards.
