MANILA, Philippines — Actress Shaina Magdayao refused to comment on the rumored breakup between her friends Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson.
“It’s not for me to say. Of course I do have something to say but just because I do, [that] doesn’t mean I will,” Magdayao said Monday when asked of her reaction regarding the speculations hounding the two actors in an interview after her press conference for series “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.”
The actress pointed out she would want to take care of their peace just as much as she wants to take care of hers.
“Kumbaga parang I’d like to take care of my peace and sa kanila din, to not add anymore sa nangyayari,” Magdayao said.
She also admitted she does not know the whole story and did not attempt to delve on the details of what happened.
“To be very honest, hindi ko na inalam yung mga detalye. Kilala niyo naman ako. Kung sino lang yung nasa mundo ko ngayon, ‘yun lang yata ‘yung kung kanino ako updated. Para simple lang ‘yung buhay,” Magdayao said.
“And ayoko magsalita nang hindi ko pa alam talaga yung nangyayari. I don’t know the whole story and all of them are my friends. And I have other things in my life na sobrang dami rin naman. So wag na natin dagdagan pa,” she added.
Alonzo recently revealed the status of her relationship with Anderson, saying, “To my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me.”

Magdayao and Alonzo, known to be longtime friends, worked together in several projects together like 2010 family drama film “Sa’yo Lamang” and 2013 comedy-drama film “Four Sisters and a Wedding.”
The two reportedly had a misunderstanding back in 2010 allegedly because of John Lloyd Cruz, but Alonzo clarified the actor had nothing to do with the rift.
Magdayao and Anderson, on the other hand, worked together in the 2013 award-winning crime thriller film “On the Job” and ABS-CBN’s 2015 fantasy drama series “Nathaniel.” /je
