Korina Sanchez and Mar Roxas finally had their twins Pepe and Pilar join the Christian world. Prior to the twins’ baptism in the Philippines, Sanchez had the twins blessed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last March.
The “Rated K” host took to Instagram today, Aug. 1, to express her joy at the twins’ baptism, with relatives from their immediate families in attendance. Sanchez’s post showed Pepe and Pilar looking adorable in their baptismal gowns.
“Sa wakas! The twins’ baptism! Took awhile although they were blessed three times prior,” Sanchez said. “Tuwang tuwa kami. But mas tuwang tuwa si Pepe en Pilar.”

Sanchez was proud of the twins for not crying during the ceremony.
“Himala. No crying AT ALL. Kahit mainit sa simbahan!” Sanchez said.
(It was a miracle. No crying at all even when it was hot inside the church.)
“And even when they were blessed with water over their heads and Pepe was asleep,” she added. “The kids love people. They super like being around a lot of new faces. So proud of them.”
The twins also managed to wait for the priest who was late for 45 minutes.
According to Sanchez, she and Roxas opted to choose the babies’ guardians from the younger generation of their families.
“It was a quiet and simple event. Just immediate families in attendance,” Sanchez said. “We wanted more ninongs (godfathers) and ninangs (godmothers) then realized we needed to choose guardians from the younger generation of our families.”
Sanchez and Roxas welcomed the twins, who were born through gestational surrogacy, last February. JB
