Emilia Clarke reunites with Jason Momoa for his surprise 40th birthday party
Jason Momoa was treated to a surprise birthday bash by his friends over the weekend, and among them was his “Game of Thrones” co-star Emilia Clarke.
The “Aquaman” star got an early birthday celebration after he attended the London Film & Comic-Con held from Friday, July 26, to Sunday, July 28. His actual birthday is on Aug. 1.
Unknown to him, his friends were gathering at a London hotel to surprise him in a party organized by his friend and personal trainer Mada Abdelhamid.
Momoa shared on Instagram a video of the surprise on Monday, July 29, where he was shocked with details such as beer printed with his face and a birthday cake of his favorite hobbies like rock climbing, surfing and doughnuts.

In the caption, he cursed at his friend because he “knows I hate surprises but he keeps getting me and I f*cking love/hate him every time he does it.”
Clarke paid tribute on Instagram to Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, the love interest of her character Daenerys in “Thrones.” Even if his character met an early demise in the first season, he and Clarke have remained friends through the years.
“With you I feel 2 feet small,” she said of a picture of them in a tight embrace. “HAPPY FREAKING BIRTHDAY BABY! An oversized bath tub of happiness for another year of you.”
A video of the surprise party also shows Momoa in a video chat with wife, Lisa Bonet, and Clarke chatting with her over the phone.
Another celebrity friend who attended was Ian Somerhalder. The “Vampire Diaries” star was all praises for his buddy: “Jason Momoa’s story is such a bright and positive story that it should be seen. Momoa, I love you. Happy birthday my dear brother.” /ra
