Eric Quizon remembers late dad Dolphy on his birthday
Actor and director Eric Quizon took to the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig on Thursday to mark the birthday of his father, the late King of Comedy Dolphy.
Quizon shared photos of him sitting beside Dolphy’s grave, which was adorned with flowers. There was also a small gathering by the late comedian’s grave to celebrate what would have been his 91st birthday.
“We had a little birthday celebration for my dad today at Heritage park,” Quizon said via Instagram. “He would have been 91. He has the same birthday as Dos @boy2quizon!!! #happybirthday #dolphy #dos.”
Just the week before, Dolphy was given a posthumous award at the Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards or the Eddys.
Quizon, then, thanked the award-giving body for the honor, saying it was a great gift for Dolphy’s nearing birthday.

Quizon also marked Dolphy’s seventh death anniversary last July 10, saying they celebrate it because of his undying effect on everyone.
“We will never forget the laughter and joy you gave, the thoughtfulness and sincerest care but most of all, it is your unwavering love that we will always cherish,” Quizon said. “Until we see you again. You will always be loved my dearest Dad! #7thyear #lovedad.”
