Kris Aquino all praises for ‘authentic’ Duterte in his Sona

MANILA, Philippines — It was President Rodrigo Duterte’s “authenticity” that caught the eye of Kris Aquino during his fourth State of the Nation Address (Sona).
While Duterte has addressed many issues during his term, Aquino lauded him for admitting he is still having a hard time solving corruption.
“Bakit yung pinaka makapangyarihan kayang umamin sa taong bayan na marami pang dapat ayusin? Matapang na umamin in 35 years sya mismo nahirapang labanan ang corruption. Napahanga nya ko,” Aquino wrote on Tuesday in an Instagram post.

“Kaya sana, tumulad na lang tayo sa pagka AUTHENTIC ni presidente Duterte, hindi nagyayabang, direcho magsalita,” she added.
Aquino also pointed out the President’s call to Filipinos to expose corrupt public officials.
“Bakit si President Duterte kayang bigyang halaga ang hinaing ng lahat ng mga tao? Sa malalang traffic? Sa mahirap na pagbayad sa SSS, Pag-Ibig, Customs etc?” Aquino said.
“Umaksyon sya at tinanggal yung mga palpak at corrupt sa Philhealth. Sinabihan tayo na pag may nakitang mali, karapatan nating mag reklamo at mag ingay dahil tayo ang nagpapa sweldo at nagpapa-andar sa gubyerno,” she added.
Duterte, during his Sona, advised Filipinos to “slap” or “make a scene” should they encounter shenanigans in the government.
“Kayo rin kasi sinasabi ko na sa’yo, be assertive. At ‘pag kayo hiningan more than the required payment by government, again I’m telling you mag-iskandalo kayo sa opisina,” Duterte said. “Make a scene. Sampalin mo ‘yang mga y**a na ‘yan kasi aabot rin sa akin ‘yan.” /ac
