Kris Bernal has ‘no problems’ playing a ‘psychopath-turned-ghost’
Kris Bernal has no reservations with taking on a “horrible” role, a sharp contrast from the previous sweetheart characters she has portrayed in the past decade.
“Ditching the iyakin and pa-sweet role for this psychopath-turned-ghost role!” she said in her Instagram post last Friday, July 5.
The actress revealed a sneak peek of her new character’s look: a pale-white woman with black lips and deep eyebags, framed by jet black hair falling straight down.

Bernal also stated that she had to watch various horror-suspense-thriller films with “eyes and ears wide open” to prepare herself for the new type of role. “The Sixth Sense”, “Insidious”, “Conjuring” and “Shutter” were some of the films she drew inspiration from to help her portray the “psychopath-turned-ghost” character.
She will be starring as this new, ghostly character in the upcoming GMA drama-horror TV series “Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko”, alongside Megan Young, Rayver Cruz and Kim Domingo. It will premiere on July 22. JB
