Francine Diaz revealed that during a very difficult time, TV host Melai Cantiveros helped her family in paying for their house rent.
Diaz spoke about Cantiveros’ financial assistance to her family in an episode of the talk show “Magandang Buhay” which aired yesterday, July 3. Cantiveros added that she knew Diaz from working together in the TV series “We Will Survive”.
(We almost got kicked out at that time. We also did not have electricity, and our things were already packed. We did not know where we would transfer.)
(Then we asked help from Ate Melai if we can borrow this, that. She answered, and that’s it, we were able to pay our rent and electricity. We were not kicked out because of Ate Melai.)
Cantiveros explained that she helped Diaz because of their good working relationship.
“Kasi nga may pinagsamahan kami ni Francine, talagang mahal na mahal ko ‘tong batang ‘to talaga,” Cantiveros said. (Francine and I have gone through a lot. I really love this kid.)
When asked by host Karla Estrada on how her family’s life has changed, Diaz acknowledged the blessings and the improvement.
“Napapaisip ako na, ‘Grabe, blessed pala ako’ kasi po kung ico-compare ko yung life namin dati sa ngayon,’ mas okay po kami ngayon kaysa dati,” Diaz said.
(I thought, “Wow, I am actually blessed,” because compared to our life before, we have a better life now.)
