Although LJ Reyes admitted that 24 hours is not enough to accomplish all her tasks as a mother, she is thankful for having her partner, actor Paolo Contis, in getting the job done.
Reyes opened up about her responsibilities in taking care of her second child, Summer Ayana, by referring to Contis as a “team player,” as per her Instagram post yesterday, July 2.
“The face we make when we’ve gone through a day full of nursing, nappy changing, dancing (the baby to sleep), washing pump parts and storage bottles, and I was able to answer calls and emails,” she said, as she posed for a groufie with Contis and their baby. “Sa totoo lang (Actually), 24 hrs a day is hardly enough for all the duties and responsibilities!”
“But you know, I’m glad [Contis] is such a team player! Kulang nalang sya na magpadede kay Summer (It is almost as if he can even breastfeed Summer),” Reyes stated.
The actress specified how Contis helps her in taking care of Summer: he makes sure to get the baby burping after feeding, and takes the baby from her so she can sleep some more in the morning.
Reyes then expressed her admiration for fathers, but also gave a special acknowledgment to single parents who do everything on their own.
“I know mothers are the nurturers, but I salute fathers who literally [get] their hands dirty,” she said. “But let me also give a shoutout to all the single parents out there!!! Whewww! I salute you!”
Summer Ayana is the couple’s first child together. Aside from Summer, Reyes has a son, Ethan Akio, with ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino. JB
