Celebrity mom and Star Circle Quest alumna Melissa Ricks and daughter Kiera recently drove for nine hours to Colorado to visit Ricks’ dad, Kelly.
The mother-and-daughter pair has been out and about in the United States lately and also took to California and Kansas before heading out to Colorado.
Ricks shared a photo of her on June 30 posing with one of the iconic “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” signs after driving all the way from Olathe, Kansas.
“We drove 9 hrs to Colorado!!!” said Ricks.
Grandpa Kelly was reunited with his “little princess” Kiera. In one photo Ricks shared, Kelly and Kiera can be seen smiling wide for the camera as they held hands and wore sunglasses.
“Daddy-o and the Little Princess,” quipped Ricks.
Ricks and Kiera did not miss out on adventure, taking first to the Garden of the Gods for its scenic views of red rock formations and then to the Seven Falls on their second day.
“Adventures with Kiera,” said Ricks.
“Had a fun day with @kierakelly12 yesterday,” she said in a post of them at Seven Falls. “Today is another fun day! #ColoradoDay2.”
The two then headed to Breckenridge where they rode a cable car and had fun in the snow. In some of Ricks’ recent Instagram Stories, Kiera can be seen playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at her mom.
“Ready for some snow!” Ricks said on July 2. “Rode the cable car up the mountain…”

Ricks and Kiera capped off their last day in Colorado with a tender moment.
“Now and forever bestie, my Little Mam, this was an awesome trip, so many adventures and memories!!” said Ricks. “Today is our Last day in Colorado, and we managed to find some more snow! Yay.” /ra
