Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia now ‘best of friends’
MANILA, Philippines — Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia are now back to where they started — as “best of friends.”
“Babalik muna kami sa pinagsimulan namin. We’re now best of friends,” Barretto said Friday as quoted by ABS-CBN News, ending weeks of speculation on the state of their relationship.
The actress, however, assured fans that their love team called “JoshLia” is still “very much alive.”
“We managed to be the bestest of friends, and if the fans are worried, we can assure them that there is nothing to worry about. JoshLia is very much alive,” she said.
Meanwhile, Garcia admitted they went through a rough patch like “normal couples.”
“May pinagdaanan lang kami. Normal couple na pinagdadaanan, pero okay kami ngayon. Masaya kami ngayon (We have gone through some rough times. I think it’s normal for couples, but we are OK now. We are happy),” Garcia said.
Rumors about their breakup surfaced after Barretto hinted in a video blog with friend Erich Gonzales that she was “in love with peace she recently gained.” (Editor: Eden Estopace)
