As “Kara Mia” comes to its final week, Barbie Forteza, Mika Dela Cruz, Jak Roberto and Paul Salas looked back on their most memorable scenes in the fantasy teleserye, in an interview with GMA last Monday, June 24.

The teleserye tells the story of Kara and Mia who were born diprosopus, a rare congenital disorder wherein multiple parts of the face are duplicated on the head. In the story, Kara’s face is at the front while Mia’s is at the back.

Forteza, when asked on her most memorable scene, replied that she considers the scene where she fought with Dela Cruz on the footbridge as the most unforgettable: “Inulit namin siya nang dalawang beses ‘tas dalawang beses din akong umiyak kasi takot ako sa heights.”

(We shot [the scene] twice, and I also cried twice because I am scared of heights.)

According to Dela Cruz, the part where her character Mia finally had her own body is the most unforgettable.

Roberto said his fight scene with Mike Tan, who played Iswal, is the most striking for him: “Noong ginawa namin ‘yon, hindi namin alam yung kalalabasan tapos noong inere, sabi ko, ‘Wow!’”

(When we shot [the fight scene], we did not know how it will turn out. When it was shown on TV, I said, “Wow!”)

“Memorable yung scene na kailangang mabilis magpatakbo si Chino, so ako ginawa ko talagang totoo tapos nakita ko talaga yung reaksyon ni Jak na kabadong-kabado siya,” Salas said, when asked about his favorite part in the teleserye.

(The scene where Chino had to drive fast is the most memorable scene for me, so I wanted it to be realistic. When I saw Jak’s reaction, he was very nervous.)

“Kara Mia” gained a lot of attention from netizens, with numerous memes of the teleserye appearing on social media throughout its run. Hannah Mallorca/JB
