Like many Filipino celebrities, Kris Aquino has fallen into the K-drama hype. In her case, she got hooked when she discovered the 2018 drama “Sky Castle”.
Aquino spoke about her newfound addiction as she uploaded the K-drama’s poster, as seen in her Instagram post last Sunday, June 23. The actress and talk show host also asked her fans and followers for recommendations.
“I was very, very LATE to the K Drama party. This was the first one I watched (while in Singapore over 5 nights)… I now understand why the world is addicted,” she said.
Aquino said she prefers action and unconventional romances in K-dramas, rather than historical and feel-good stories. She further revealed that Korean actor Jung Joon-ho is her K-drama crush because she adores his perfectly cut hair.
“I’m only aiming for 45 minutes of walking a day so i have time to start new K Dramas,” she said. “I realized variety is FUN. 2 episodes then [I] switch. So [I’ll] appreciate your recommendations w/ short summaries please…”
“Sky Castle” is the highest-rated K-drama in Korean cable history, as reported by Soompi last February 2019. It will soon be aired on GMA Network although the exact date of launch is yet to be announced. JB
