Isko Moreno: Eddie Garcia is an inspiration to fellow actors

MANILA, Philippines — Manila mayor-elect Francisco Domagoso, popularly known as Isko Moreno, extends his condolences to the bereaved family of Eddie Garcia.

Garcia passed away on Thursday afternoon. He was 90 years old.

Moreno, who was an actor before entering politics, described Garcia as a huge inspiration to fellow actors in the showbiz industry.

“Bilang dating miyembro ng industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino, isa po siyang malaking inspirasyon sa lahat, dala ng kanyang mahusay na talento at talino sa larangan na ito,” Moreno said in a statement.

(As a former member of the Filipino film industry, I can say that Garcia is a huge inspiration for everybody. He is very talented in this field.)

“Saludo po kami sa galing na ipinamalas niya sa industriyang ito (We salute his contributions to the industry). We will surely miss you, Manoy. Marami pong salamat sa lahat. Rest in peace po,” he added.

On June 8, Garcia was hospitalized after he suffered neck fracture while filming for an upcoming teleserye.
