Senators mourn ‘Manoy’s passing
MANILA, Philippines—Several senators joined fans relatives and friends in mourning the death of veteran actor Eddie Garcia.
In a tweet, outgoing Sen. JV Ejercito, who belongs to a family of showbiz personalities, said Garcia was already an “institution” in the Philippine movie industry.

Sen. Sonny Angara chimed in, saying Garcia was “a fine gentleman and great actor.”

Garcia passed away on Thursday afternoon at the Makati Medical Center. He was 90.
