Andi Eigenmann was treated to an early birthday surprise when her boyfriend, Philmar Alipayo, appeared on a talk show she guested on Monday, June 17.
The actress, who turns 28 on June 25, was in “Magandang Buhay” when Alipayo entered the stage. Caught off-guard, Eigenmann became teary-eyed as they embraced.
(He said last night, “My love, you know I miss you so much. When we see each other, I feel like I’ll cry.” I said, “You usually cry.” I’m the one who ended up crying.)
On the talk show, the actress gushed about their relationship. “Happy ako (I’m happy) with my relationship with Philmar kasi (because) he makes me feel like it’s something that could actually last forever.”
The couple is expecting its first child together. Both have a child each from previous relationships, which Eigenmann said did not pose a problem for them.
“Normally people make a big deal out of these things but I think that’s the reason why madali lang sa amin maging masaya kasi hindi kami nakatingin sa mga bagay na ‘yun. Yung importante mayroon kaming respeto sa sarili, sinusubukan namin ang best namin para magkaintindihan kami at para mag-grow kami together as a team,” she said.

Eigenmann’s daughter Ellie also appeared on the show. When asked about Philmar’s bond with her, the pro surfer said they got along within an hour of meeting each other in Manila. He shared that they drew together and danced with a hula hoop.
While in Siargao, Ellie enjoys non-stop surfing, with Alipayo having to tell her to take a break because he is hungry.
Eigenmann said she and Alipayo are setting up their life together in Siargao and building a home together. The house will also serve as a bed-and-breakfast with rooms to be rented out.
She also stressed that Ellie is still her top priority and that she spends time with her daughter, who studies in Manila.
“So kailangan ko mag-make ng extra effort na maibigay ‘yung pangarap namin na tumira sa isla pero education pa rin, important pa rin ‘yon para sa akin,” she said.
