Andi Eigenmann shoots down ‘sayang’ remark about her pregnancy out of wedlock

Andi Eigenmann recently announced that she is pregnant with her second child, another milestone in her life that she vowed to fully cherish.
“I am fully cherishing every moment of my pregnancy,” she wrote on Instagram last Feb. 4. “Embracing it as a time of transition and growth as my soul and spirit stretch, along with my body.”

Eigenmann continued to say that having Ellie–her daughter with Jake Ejercito–around gave her the courage to be proud of her second pregnancy.
“It will not be about hiding the bump, and bouncing back as soon as possible so that nobody notices that I actually gave birth,” she said. “This time, it will be about celebrating the blessing of having another chance to raise another flower child.”
Her post earned the praise of many fans, but it seems there are those whose comments are unwarranted.
“Sana ands pakasal ka muna sayang,” said a certain Heather (@heatherzhane).
Eigenmann, however, immediately shut her down and told her she was in no place to tell her how to lead her life.
“More so, tell me that I am ‘sayang’ because I am happily pregnant at 28 [years old],” she said. “I don’t expect nor intend for everyone to be pleased by how I see life, but your negativity is very unnecessary…”

The same netizen did not seem satisfied and said, “@andieeigengirl girl I’m a fan galit? Ok thanks,” and “Sana hindi na maghiwalay diba?”
Eigenmann answered her again and told her people having different beliefs do not anger her. She also explained why she called out the netizen.
“We should learn to accept that every person is different and we have no right to shove our beliefs on others,” she said. “I called you out because it’s such a shame when women bring other women down. Not because I am angry.”

This little exchange did not dampen the happiness and optimism expressed in Eigenmann’s post, though. Other fans stood in support of Eigenmann and congratulated her for her baby.
A certain Tatiana (@talalangski) assured Eigenmann that she does not need to explain herself to anyone.
“You are not and will never be sayang,” the netizen said. “You chose a life inside your womb more than anything else and that alone is something to admire. You are a strong woman with her heart [in] the right place…”

Eigenmann, on her end, was appreciative of the kind words. “It made me realise that women need to hear things like these more so when they are pregnant. I really appreciate it!”
Another one could not help but gush about Eigenmann’s relationship with surfer boyfriend Philmar Alipayo.
“I am a big fan of @chepoxz and @andieigengirl since day one of their relationship. So simple and sweet…,” said the netizen (@eneriescapes). “Lalo na si @chepoxz super funny ang mga [Instagram Stories].”
It was a comment that amused Eigenmann, as she said, “If only you could see the moments that we don’t get to film.”
And as for mom Jaclyn Jose? Eigenmann told one fan (@mmommymylove) that her mom was happy over the news of her pregnancy.
“I’m already 28,” she said. “She is very excited!”
