The pop singer was behind her husband, Liam Hemsworth, while milling through a throng of fans at the Primavera Sound music festival when the incident occurred. The man grabbed Cyrus’ hair and then her head, pushing his face onto her for a kiss. Cyrus turned her body away from the man and her security detail was able to push him away.

On Tuesday, June 4, Cyrus spoke up about her experience on social media. She shared a news clip that featured a video of the incident.

“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people,” she wrote. “She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked.”

“She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent. #DontF*ckWithMyFreedom”

Cyrus shared comments on Facebook of people who blamed her for the incident. “You wanted to be ‘sexy’, what do you expect?” One Facebook user said.

“Don’t f*ck with my freedom. #stillnotaskingforit,” Cyrus said.

“Don’t f*ck with my freedom” is a lyric from her single “Mother’s Daughter,” which is the opening track to her new EP “She Is Coming.”  /ra
